Background and Impetus

ASEAN collectively as a stable, prosperous and highly competitive region will be a real force to be reckoned with on the international stage. Economic Integration and entrepreneurship are thus key components in this effort to promote the growth and internationalization of home-grown companies.

The youth comprises more than half of the ASEAN population. Considering that they will be the future leaders of ASEAN, it is imperative that they be made aware of ASEAN, its people, its landscape, its activities, and its role in ensuring regional peace and prosperity amidst the onslaught of globalization. Unfortunately, there has been a lack of regular interaction and understanding among entrepreneurial youth leaders, who would ultimately shape the future of ASEAN.

ASEANpreneurs was born to address this need, and will act as a launchpad for the cross-fertilization of ideas and to foster understanding so as to better facilitate cooperation among ASEAN countries to aid in their progress.
