This group represents an effort to raise awareness of the critical role that language and its related intricacies plays in the process of doing business in ASEAN countries. With this in mind, would it be plausible if primary schools in the region increased the variety of foreign languages taught so as to enable students to pick up an additional language such as Bahasa Indonesia for use in say Indonesia?

hey there! this seems like a pretty good idea. I used to take Mandarin lessons but I've lost touch now... i'm just able to understand bits and pieces here and there. heh.
how about other languages then? maybe we could just start different discussion threads or something?

Anyway i really like this forum and really love to learn new languages. I am about to learn Mandarin starting from May.
